ASUS EN8800GT TOP Series Offers Lower Core Temps

ASUS, producer of top quality graphic solutions, has today introduced the newest thermal solution - the Glaciator Fansink; that is incorporated with the EN8800GT TOP/G/HTDP/512M, EN8800GT/G/HTDP/512M, and EN8800GT/G/HTDP/256M graphic cards. With its unique design, the Glaciator Fansink keeps GPU temperatures up to 7ºC cooler than reference designed boards. Additionally, the EN8800GT TOP features overclocking of the stream processors - allowing users to enjoy 10% improvement in gaming experiences.

Furthermore, the integrated SmartDoctor feature will provide users with the option to overclock the Shader Clock for even better graphical performances; and the ASUS EN8800GT Series will also come bundled with the hottest DX10 game, Company of Heroes: Opposing Fronts.

7ºC Cooler with Exclusive Glaciator Fansink
The ASUS EN8800 Series utilizes a new generation Glaciator Fansink that is specially designed to effectively dissipate heat away from the graphics card. Much like the real-life glacial storms, the Glaciator Fansink can quickly transfer heat away from the GPU and lowers the temperature by a whopping 7ºC in comparison to reference design boards. On top of this unprecedented cooling capacity, it is also half quieter than generic designed fansinks - catering to users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan rotation noise.

Astonishing 10% Performance Upgrade
Gamers can expect stream processor clock performance boosts from 1500MHz up to an incredible 1750MHz. Such unprecedented performance upgrades help raise the EN8800 GT TOP's 3DMark06 score from 10112 to 11119 - an incredible 10% improvement in speed compared to any other reference designed board. Gamers can now feel the adrenaline rush of superior gaming performance only with the ASUS EN8800GT TOP/G/HTDP/512M.

Overclock the Shader Clock with New SmartDoctor
ASUS garners a world's first by providing an overclocking utility that is able to tweak the Shader Clock on GPUs with the new SmartDoctor. With this application, users will be able to overclock the Shader Clock and Engine Clock independently for astonishing performance boosts without the hassles of rebooting or re-flashing their BIOS.

Exclusive ASUS GamerOSD for Versatile Graphics Usage
The ASUS EN8800GT Series also comes with the exclusive ASUS GamerOSD that unleashes the true power of ASUS' VGA cards. This feature is able to deliver GPU overclocking from onscreen displays during games - allowing users real-time performance upgrades when they require it. Additionally, it also provides users with the option to record live gaming action or live broadcasting over the Internet with ease.

Its strange that their cooler only drops the temps by 7 degrees. I mean its hardly worth talking about imo.. If you slapped a VF900 (just eg.) on a X1800 it dropped the temps by up to 25 degrees!!!! I woulda thought it would be a little better thats all. I would imagine that like all the other Asus top models they are quite expensive. Just buy a normal one and slap a HR03 on it.

That asus card also goes to show you don't really need ramsinks.... even when you are @ 2000mhz.. :)

Another announcement for those who swallow the hook blindly. As anyone here knows (I hope!) slapping an aftermarket cooler like Thermalright or Zalman will give you a real drop, not some measly 7 degrees.

All these 'clever' people in the marketing teams that write this stuff should really be rounded up, as should those who believe their spiel!
