helmet, Anonymous, 16th century, Iron cabasset with an iron plume sleeve and helmet crest. The helmet is oval in shape and has a high, spherical helmet sphere, the helmet flap is sloping downwards. The helmet sphere consists of two halves and is finished over the comb with a folded strip of iron. At the rear tip of the helmet visor, part of the plate is a contemporary replacement, and so is a piece of the adjacent rim. Front point has also been replaced and also provided with new rivets at the time, which were subsequently filed away on the outside or top. Lining nails around the rim of the helmet visor and helmet bulb are without visible rivets. Here and there the dents of the once applied rivet plates are visible, General: 24 x 24.5 x 33.5cm 240 x 245 x 335mm.
