Philodendron Imperial Red
Philodendron Imperial Red
A lush, decorative foliage plant with large, oval, leathery leaves. Young leaves are a bright red, maturing to burgundy red-purple and ultimately dark glossy green. Philodendron Imperial Red has a compact, bushy habit. A great low maintenance option and shade tolerant into the bargain.
Plant Care Tips:
Sunlight:
it prefers bright indirect sunlight, which is considered moderate or medium light exposure. Avoid exposing the plant to direct hot sun, as it can cause sunburn.
Watering:
Your Philodendron enjoys weekly watering sessions, allowing its soil to completely dry out between watering to prevent overwatering and root rot.
Pruning & Maintenance:
Pinch off growing stems if you want the plant to remain bushy and full rather than send out long stems. Make the pinch just above a leaf node; the plant will branch out from this point. Other than this, the only pruning required is to remove dead or yellowed leaves.
