The vaulting has been "crazy vaulting' and is unique in Gothic architecture. Each bay has one diagonal rib and a pair of transverse ribs. In between are alternating ribs which open and shut triangles contacting the ridge ribs at multiple points. This creates a ridge rib which has a zigzag configuration. The east most bay of the choir has conventional sexpartite vaulting.
