We're reconnecting with former Pirates Online players like never before. A few months ago, Pirates Online Retribution began using the new, popular web app known as "Discord". Discord is a service similar to that of Skype and Teamspeak which allows its users to communicate in both text, and voice channels on specific servers.
The goal in mind is to try and bring the community ever closer together, and to make communication easier between Staff and community alike. Time to celebrate Mardi Gras!
This Friday, the 24th marks the beginning of Pirates Online Retribution's first Mardi Gras GM event here in the Caribbean. Gather yer best mates and take the party from town down to the beaches of Tortuga, Abassa to join in all of the festivities!
As is custom for this very special holiday, GMs will be handing out large quantities of random items, including clothing, weapons, and jewelry to all who attend.

Dead Men Tell No Tales!
Hoist the colors, and raise the black. After 6 long years, Disney has just recently announced that Pirates of the Caribbean will be making a 5th return to theaters this May in "Dead Men Tell No Tales". One can't help but wonder what the future will hold for Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Captain Barbossa, and the other pirates of the Caribbean!
The Staff here at Pirates Online Retribution are especially excited for this new debut as it will assuredly increase traffic to our website, and therefore help to not only revive, but exponentially increase the size of our community. We look forward to taking on new recruits, and to seeing you newcomers in the Caribbean very soon. Godspeed!
