Khaldoun Debian, MD - Elite Gastroenterology

Dr Debian and the staff are amazing. They are super caring. I called like a list of 20 doctors. Most just brushed me off. Dr Debian is my stomach doctor for good. I also appreciate the staff for really welcoming me into their busy schedules.

I really do like the awesome service they give. Kind voices and honest feedback. I got really lucky with them!

Staff is horrible. My dad had an endoscopy done due to continued symptoms after his H. Pylori treatment. We waited 1 month for results and nothing. We finally set up an appointment to see the doctor and the first thing he asks us is "So how was your meeting with the oncologist?"..... What??? excuse me we did not know that the biopsy results came out as malignant. He quickly got up and left to inquire to his staff why we were not informed about setting up an appointment with the oncologist. So here we are about a month after my dads procedure, and all this time my dad had a cancer that could potentially spread to other organs and his staff failed to relay the information and get us set up with an oncologist. We were furious because that whole month we were waiting and waiting nervous hoping his biopsy was negative. Luckily my dads cancer was only a stage 2 but I am angry because you don't mess with people's lives like that, every day is precious and to be treated as soon as possible is vital to ensure it doesn't spread.

Never again would I use Dr. Debian. The procedure went fine, but good luck getting results and/or a call from this guy. I spent way to much time holding to talk to someone (because they won't call you back). After advising me I needed a surgeon after the procedure, I set up an appt. with a better hospital and she couldn't even get him to call her back. We only had a pathology report to go off of so I had to do the colonoscopy again two weeks later. Don't waste your time with this guy and his office. It will end up costing you money in the end. Ugh.

My wife and I scheduled our appointments together. His staff was very
accommodating. Dr. Debian was very kind and made us feel very
comfortable, since this was our first colonoscopy. I would recommend
him for anyone that needs a great Gastroenterologist.

I am not surprised at the mix of reviews for this MD. I'm one of the ones to warn you not to go to him.
I saw Dr. Debian in 2020. I was having serious GI problems in addition to a 30 going on 40 lb weight loss. My symptoms were completely ignored and I was told it was anxiety and all in my head.
To say something is, "all in my head" was pretty far fetched for someone who had NO physical testing.
Dr. Debian did not-
Take vitals
Height or WEIGHT
Labs
Nothing.
Fortunately- because I KNEW there was something wrong with me, I sought a second opinion. I finally got answers with a HIDA scan, showing my gallbladder is not working (a year after seeing Debian).
So, thanks to this physician, I lost a YEAR of my life because of the mental and physical suffering that he told me was "in my head".
Thankfully I have a GI doc that listens to me and doesn't just throw meds at me without getting to the root of the problem.
I am a nurse practitioner- and I knew that dr Debian's care was below standards. Thankfully I trusted my gut and went to someone else. For his patients that aren't as medically educated, I seriously worry.
So- avoid yourself more pain and suffering (you already have enough with chronic GI issues) and DO NOT go to dr Debian. He doesn't care about his patients- and does not meet professional standards and is NEGLIGENT as a physician.

Don't waste your time or your life. Don't see dr Debian, if you value your health or life.

He is the worst physician I have ever encountered in my life. I would not recommend him to treat a dog let alone a human. His staff is EXCELLENT but he's horrible, he's easily offended because he's hard to understand his accent is very thick. This is another review for Dr Debian's staff. I have had the privilege of working with Ana at the office and she is an absolute gem. Over the past week especially, I have been that patient who calls and calls. Ana takes my calls as if she is waiting there just to talk to their patients. She is always so warm, approachable and informative. She answers my questions, gives me samples or schedules me in a pinch! With the things I have going on, which can be unsettling at times, it is always nice to know I have Ana on the receiving ends of my phone call.

Dr. Debian is such a great, caring doctor. He really takes the time to listen to all you have to say and makes sure to explain everything thoroughly. I definitely recommend him for anyone looking for a gastroenterologist.

If I could have given no stars I would have. Their receptionist "Leslie" is absolutely terrible. I waited three weeks to hear back from her and never did. I emailed 2 times and finally called and ask if they received approval from my insurance company, but come to find out she hadn't even contacted them!! Then only to tell me that my doctor was on vacation and she couldn't get his approval, which didn't make sense.
So basically she just put my heath on hold, shameful.

If I could have given no stars I would have. As another reviewer stated, Their receptionist "Lesley" is absolutely terrible. I waited three weeks to hear back from her and never did. I emailed 4 times with no response. Now I'm very leery of putting my health in the care of a doctor who would employ people like this.
UPDATE: after writing the above review I finally was contacted by Jamie the very next day. She apologized and got me all set up. She is on the ball. Thank you Jamie
