A collection of Transmogrification Kits actually worn in-game by my Blood Elf Hunter. Outfits are listed from most recent to least recent. Items that are no longer obtainable are marked with an asterisk (*).
8) Sin’dorei Sharpshooter
Heritage of the Sin’dorei with Crown of Flame (N), Khan’s Chestpiece, Dreadmire Legguards, and Thas’dorah (upgraded, 3rd tint?)
There are other Sin’dorei-themed bows (Skyfire Hawk-Bow and Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix), which I would have used if there hadn’t been a red tint of Thas’dorah.
7) Gilded Farstrider
Totem Matriarch’s Headdress, Green Iron Shoulders, Tribal Hauberk, Vintage Duskwatch Cinch, Ulfgor’s Greaves of Bravery, Green Iron Gauntlets, Captain’s Boots, Green Linen Shirt, Thas’dorah (default, Pillar of Creation tint)
A combination I wanted to try with this chestpiece. I’ll grant that the headdress is a little over the top (pun intended), but I just couldn’t resist how pretty the green feathers of the hat looked next to the green feathers of the arrows in Thas’dorah’s quiver.
6) Woodcraft
Morningscale Cowl, Tortoise Armor, Barrowknoll Cinch, Web Coated Leggings, Winning Mail Gloves + Steel-Clasped Bracers, Runesworn Boots, Ranger Cloak, Thas’dorah (default, Pillar of Creation tint)
This pushed-back hood style looks kind of silly on Tauren, so I wanted to try it on a character of another race. I picked this chestpiece to go with it, and then the rest of the outfit wanted to look like leather, rather than mail, too.
5) Emberhawk
Vindictive Gladiator’s Chain Armor with Crown of Flame (N), Ebon Filigreed Doublet, and Emberhawk Crossbow
With its elvish styling, the Horde PVP recolor of the Emerald Nighthold Hunter tier set is especially well-suited to Blood Elves.
4) Windrunners’ Torn Hearts
Fox Grove Spaulders, Fuselight Chainmail, Doc’s Belt, Traveling Leggings, Edgemaster’s Handguards, Fox Grove Sabatons, Lohn’goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart
Karolissa had been wanting a “Quel’dorei” outfit using the blue and silver recolor of the Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix.
3) Empyrial Legacy II
Empyrial Elemental Crown, Demonic Combatant’s Chain Spaulders, Bramblemail Hauberk, Skettis Belt, Manaburst Legguards, Mojo-Mender’s Gloves, Lifestep Treads, Rich Purple Silk Shirt, Thas’dorah (upgraded, first tint)
A modification of a kit that I originally designed for Kamalia. Although the grey-and-purple gloves and boots that I used with this outfit for Kam — which worked for her because of her gray fur — looked very nice with the grey feathers of Thas’dorah, they didn’t work at all with the rest of the outfit for Karolissa.
2) Eclipsion Sniper
Thelwater’s Steelwoven Eyepatch, Furious Gladiator’s Chain Spaulders, Fel-Chain Hauberk & Leggings, Bramblemail Belt Gloves & Boots, Purple Trophy Tabard of the Illidari, Starbolt Longbow
Karolissa made her Sunday Mog Show debut wearing an Illidari Trophy Tabard kit because making a mail outfit to go with this tabard had been on my Mogging to-do list for quite a while now, so why not? It must be said, though, that I’m much happier with the kit I was able to make using these Legion-era items than I would have been with a kit made from Burning Crusade-era items.
1) Seeking the Windrunners’ Trail
Trailseeker set with Thas’dorah (default, Pillar of Creation tint)
So, I had two cloth-wearing Blood Elves and two leather-wearing Blood Elves. Recently, I created two plate-wearing Blood Elves. It was somewhat inevitable that I would want to have a mail-wearing Blood Elf to complete the set.
Boosted characters receive this gear. It can also be obtained from the Warlords Garrison Salvage Yard.
Nice and original outfits! Reminds me I should get the Illidari tabard. One of those things I come to think of and then forget. Year after year… π
Thank you!
Yes, you should go get the Illidari Tabard. It’s much easier to do now than it was back in the day π
I can see the Windrunner Trail set being used in the Ghostlands and Eversong Forest. Yeah, that’d be perfect.
It’s a great set for just about any hunter — it’s also perfect for Dwarf Mountaineers in Dun Morogh and Loch Modan.
